Schedule I

Significance: Schedule I lists the territories that are considered part of India for the purposes of the Citizenship Act. 

Use: It helps determine the geographical scope within which the provisions of the Citizenship Act apply.

Schedule II

Significance: Schedule II contains the names of the countries that are recognized as Commonwealth countries. 

Use: It was used to determine the status of Commonwealth citizens under the Citizenship Act, although this provision was repealed by the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003.

Schedule III

Significance: Schedule III lists the countries that are recognized as foreign countries for the purposes of the Citizenship Act. 

Use: It helps in identifying the countries whose citizens are subject to the provisions of the Citizenship Act when they apply for Indian citizenship.

Schedule IV

Significance: Schedule IV contains the names of the countries that are recognized as foreign countries for the purposes of the Citizenship Act. 

Use: Similar to Schedule III, it helps in identifying the countries whose citizens are subject to the provisions of the Citizenship Act when they apply for Indian citizenship.
